I have heard a lot in my life that men do not cry
I have heard more that one hides those feelings and does show them to anyone
-You would lose a sense of being a man
-A sign of weakness
But Jesus wept.
He groaned in the spirit(35)
The most manly man of men wept
Was Jesus meek?
The man who went to the longshore men, the gruffest of men, said follow me and they came
Was Jesus weak ?
The man who walked into Temples and turned over tables and ran out the crooks.
Was Jesus scared?
The man who stood in front of a king and proclaimed His Fathers name and died for steadfast Faith in our Father.
The shortest verse
As a man
As a father
As a son
As a brother
As a husband
The most powerful verse in regards to love.
I have wept. There I said it. I have cried like a bubbling fountain. I have released tears that would put a colicy baby to shame. I have wept.
I have wept when I was overfilled with joy. I have wept when I was overcome by sorrow. I have wept.
I have wept when my wife said yes to marrying me. I have wept when I caught and held my newborn children I have wept when I held my daddy's hand when he died. I have wept.
I weep continuously today when I pray. When I stop to think about the how much my Father loves me and I how much He has given my family, I weep.
When I look at the world around me and how much suffering and pain is occurring because of sin and a lack of Jesus in others lives, I weep.
When I talk to my wife and my children about their plans and desire to serve the One True God, I weep.
When I stop, listen and feel the presence of God around me, I weep.
How can you not?
…. as a man and leader of your family, how can one not weep at the sheer thought of the power and magnificence of our Father?
How can one not?
… as a child realizes that all things are worked for His good AND the fact that you are part of those things, part of that plan
Not because I am weak-
But because I am loved and cared for so well by the one true God.
I weep, because He loves me.
I weep, because He loves you.
